"I purchased a 13/1 for my 6-year-old. They do run much bigger than that. I'd say closer to a size 2 in kids. Which is fine, she will be able to wear them for at least 2 years, if not more. She had no complaints wearing them. Still is able to wear them, and they get the job done. They are heavy duty, no weird smell. Plus the design was a hit."
