In 2016, wanting to make an impact in the community, the Moehring family launched the non-profit Wear A Big Smile® Foundation. Western Chief proudly supports the Foundation which donates boots to people in need throughout our local community.
As of 2026, the Wear A Big Smile® Foundation has donated over 75,000 pairs of brand new boots and 3,000 raincoats to families in need throughout the greater Seattle area.

"Absolute best boots we've found for our toddler. He wears these every single day on our farm in every season in WI. He does not find them to be too hot in the summer at all. He can easily slip these on and off on his own yet they stay on and he has no problem running and climbing in these. Already ordered quite a few of the next sizes up in case these ever get discontinued. Such a great boot and we will continue buying these."
